Please join us for an evening reception and discussion with acclaimed Lowcountry architect and author Jane Frederick, as she presents Contemporary Southern Vernacular: Creating Sustainable Houses for Hot, Humid Climates. Cowritten by veteran architects Jane and Michael Frederick, this comprehensive guide provides clear advice and guidelines needed for creating sustainable Southern homes that will last a lifetime (and beyond). This special event will be held at the gracious home of Mr. and Mrs. Drew Scallan, the Flora and John Trask, Sr. House, ca. 1913, overlooking the Bluff in Beaufort’s National Historic Landmark District. Hors d’ oeuvres and wine/beer will be served following the presentation.
